Connected Devices first launched on the Windows 10 app store as "Share Across Devices", using the APIs available in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to share text and urls to and from all Windows 10 devices, including phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and xbox ones.

Microsoft has now made these APIs available to Android, and so Connected Devices has arrived on the Google Play Store!

File transfer is here! You can now attach a file and send it to any of your Windows 10 devices across a local wireless or wired network. Like the Windows 10 app, you can try to send a file to a device that is not on your local network, but most likely it will fail due to firewall restrictions.
